I've used Wordpress, but found that customizing the look of it was a bear. Overall, I don't like the way the PHP is coded. Any good suggestions out there? I don't need a powerhouse system, just a way to share content management with others. Ease of customization and support from plug-ins and extensions.

I can understand where you're coming from with Wordpress. Have you tried MODx? (http://modxcms.com/) Although it hasn't been around as long as some other CMS solutions, it seems to be going in a great direction and I think it will have quite a long lifespan.

If WordPress really does not work for you then there are still a lot of sites to choose from and by simply looking it up, you would surely be able to find one.
